NEW SECURE MESSAGING SYSTEM!

You can now send us secure messages through Stanford's MyChart. Please call us at 1-844-724-4140 and receive your MyChart activation code to send us secure emails and messages. Once you have activated your Stanford Children's Health MyChart, you can make appointments, communicate with your doctor, and view test results from anywhere.

We are aware that some have had difficulty reaching us at our new number. This has been fixed! Anyone who needs to reach us can now easily do so by calling 1-844-724-4140

NEW PHONE NUMBER ACTIVE AS OF NOVEMBER 9, 2015

1-844-724-4140

Please update your records!

WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Please call our new number today in order to continue to see us: 1-844-724-4140
Please update your contact information.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN ON THE PHONE CALL?

Maurice Lewis (previously from BAPP, now with Stanford) will answer your call, take your name, address, phone number, and get you an appointment. He will mail you forms that you must complete in order to keep seeing your BAPP physician.

WHAT FORMS WILL I NEED TO FILL OUT AND WHY?

You must release your records from BAPP (Bay Area Pediatric Pulmonology) and from BCHO (UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland). Legally, you are the only one who can do this.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO FILL OUT THESE FORMS?

About 5-10 minutes.

WILL NURSE DJ BE PART OF THE STANFORD TEAM?

YES. DJ will become a Stanford employee on Dec. 1st along with the doctors and the rest of the team. This new phone number is how you will contact DJ in the future.

DOES STANFORD ACCEPT MY INSURANCE?

Stanford has contracts with most of the same insurance companies that we have. If your insurance is provided through a medical group, there may be slight differences. For example, if you have Brown & Toland Medical Group (BTMG), Stanford accepts your insurance. If you have Children's First Medical Group (CFMG), Stanford likely has a different contract with them. So how do you figure it out?

Please call your insurance and/or medical group and ask them if appointments with Stanford Children’s Health are covered. November is open enrollment month and you can make changes if necessary.

DO I HAVE A CHOICE?

Yes! You may choose to keep us as your current team, which will be best for the continuity for your child's care. Or, you can change and see a different team that BCHO will put into place. Know that whatever you choose to do, you can always change your mind. We have enjoyed serving you over the years, and look forward to continuing to treat your child in the future.

Flu Vaccine

It is time for flu shots once again. This year the shot will again be killed, no live virus and will cover 4 important strains. Get your flu shot if you are 6 months or older and the whole family should do so. Remember that the flu mist vaccine is only for those 5-50 years old and it is a live vaccine. It may give you a mild case of the flu; you will have symptoms and will shed virus which can make you or your child sick. The Flu mist is not recommended for anyone with primary lung disease or the families of these persons.
