Edward Fong, MD
Biography Edward Fong received his medical degree from the University of Hawaii-Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine. He completed both his internship and residency in the field of Pediatrics at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, Arizona. After finishing his residency, he remained in Tucson to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at the University of Arizona. Upon completion of his fellowship, he joined Bay Area Pediatric Pulmonary Medical Corporation as a Pediatric Pulmonologist. In addition to being a clinician and teacher, Dr. Fong's research interests are in asthma and cystic fibrosis. He has previously received funding for an Investigator Sponsored Trial from Genentech, Inc. to study the effects of Dornase Alfa in children admitted to the hospital in status asthmaticus. Dr. Fong is happy to have returned to the Bay Area to not only work, but also to enjoy and participate in the traveling/sightseeing, outdoors/athletic, and culinary opportunities that abound here. |
