Eric D. Zee, MD

Biography

Eric Zee was born and raised in the Bay Area. Dr. Zee went off to college at UC Davis and continued his education at the Chicago Medical School. During his years in Chicago, he gained an interest in the field of Pediatrics. Dr. Zee subsequently did his pediatric internship and residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Upon completing his residency in general pediatrics, Dr. Zee pursued and completed a subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Colorado and Children’s Hospital, Denver.

His professional interests lay in asthma management and pediatric intensive care medicine with an emphasis in ventilator physiology. His research interests involve biochemical pathways of pulmonary inflammation and edema.

Dr. Zee really returned to the Bay Area to be near his beloved San Francisco Giants. You’ll find him at SBC Park cheering on the Giants. Otherwise, he enjoys skiing in the Sierra Nevadas and being around friends and family. He lives in Oakland with his wife, Tracie and doggie-daughter Pualani.
