Renée Benson, MD

Biography

Dr. Renée Benson became a pulmonary fellow with BAPP in July 2008. Dr. Benson was born and raised in San Leandro, then ventured to the other side of the bay to complete her undergraduate studies at Stanford University. After spending a year exploring the East Coast and working at a biotech company in Washington, DC, she returned home to the Bay Area for medical school at University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Benson developed an interest in pediatric pulmonology during her residency at Children’s Hospital and Research Center at Oakland while taking care of numerous children with asthma and other chronic lung diseases. She is excited to stay at CHRCO to learn pulmonary medicine and to help kids in the Bay Area keep their lungs as healthy as possible.

Outside of work she enjoys live music, dinners with friends and family, and trips to the Napa Valley.
