We are happy to see your child for a consultation on pulmonary or sleep-related problems. In order to do so, you must have your child's pediatrician make a referral to us (even if your insurance allows you to self refer). Once this referral is received, we will contact you regarding an appointment.
If you have any problems obtaining an appointment please call Nida Young, our New Patient Coordinator, at 510-428-3885, Ext. 4692. Nida will be happy to guide you through this process.
These are the phone numbers to call to schedule follow-up appointments for each specific site:
In order to provide the best possible care for all patients, we have instituted a No Show Policy. Please familiarize yourself with this policy.

Effective immediately for our new patients:
At BAPP, we strive to provide your child and all patients with the best possible care. Since we allow at least 60 minutes for each new patient consultation, a missed appointment not only creates a disruption to the physician’s day, but also represents time that another child’s health care could have been attended to.
If you fail to show without acceptable notification for your new patient appointment/consultation with a Bay Area Pediatric Pulmonary (BAPP) physician you will be rescheduled for the next available appointment, which may be weeks to months away.
Failure to show without acceptable notification twice will result in dismissal from BAPP’s practice with notification to you of this fact via certified letter. A copy of this letter will also be sent to the physician who initially referred your child.
We appreciate your understanding of and compliance with our policy. We look forward to attending to your child’s health care needs.
Established Patients
Due to prior problems that we have experienced, BAPP has established a No Show Policy. Your child will be classified as a no-show patient if
BAPP has a 48-hour appointment cancellation policy. If you cancel an appointment within 48 hours of that appointment, it will be considered a No Show and you will receive a bill for $50.00 from our billing company. Also, the doctor will decide if you will need to come to our Open Schedule Clinic before returning to regularly scheduled appointments.
When you fail to keep an appointment, you will receive a letter from CHRCO Care Access Center staff or the BAPP Clinic Coordinator responsible for any non-CHRCO site, asking you to reschedule your appointment.
If you fail to keep three scheduled appointments, you will be informed via certified letter from the pulmonary physician that the Pediatric Pulmonary Center can no longer provide medical care for your child. A copy of this letter will also be sent to the physician who initially referred your child.
The purpose of the No Show Policy is twofold:
Since we allow at least 30 minutes for each appointment, and 60 minutes for a new patient consultation, a missed appointment creates not only a disruption to the physician's day, but it is time that another child's health care could have been attended to.
We appreciate your compliance with our policy and we look forward to attending to your child's health care needs.
